The Agriculture Fair attracts a massive audience of industry professionals and casual visitors (and politicians too!) each year. The international event is an incredible showcase for the French rural landscape and this year – it’s 54th edition – takes place from February 25 to March 5, 2017 at the Parc des Expos Paris Porte de Versailles. It’s an opportunity to get to know this noble profession better, to taste gastronomic products and to meet "Fine", the star of this season.
A passion, an ambition
The 2017 edition of the SIA will teach you all you’d like to know about the agricultural sector. The event will address many themes and various agricultural professions through a combination of training, hands-on knowledge and innovation. Focusing on the theme "Agriculture: a passion, an ambition", the show allows you to explore four universes:
- Livestock and livestock production
- Vegetable crops and plants, Garden and vegetable garden
- Products from the French, Overseas and World Regions
- Services and Trades of Agriculture

The SIA is also the ideal showcase for the country’s regional specialities and it’s your chance to take a tour of the real flavours of France. Take an unforgettable gourmet journey through events organised around the products of the French Terroirs and products from around the world. An eclectic programme of culinary activities has been devised in partnership with chefs, farmers and regional organisations. Delve into the incredible festive atmosphere in halls 2.3 and 3.
Fine ... the star of the show!
A haughty and beautiful Breton Pie-Black, resplendent in her elegant black and white coat, is waiting for you under the spotlight in Prestige Alley in Pavilion 1. Responding to the sweet name of Fine, this elegant lady is 1.17m tall and weighs in at 450 kg. When she leaves the fair, she’ll return to her meadow in the Loire-Atlantique where she grew up under the benevolent eye of breeder, Cédric Briand. The star of the show, Fine promises to save her most dazzling smiles for you!
