Modern art in the spotlight this autumn

Modern art in the spotlight this autumn

In addition to all the permanent and temporary exhibitions devoted to contemporary and modern art, the Louis Vuitton Foundation, Paris will host an exceptional event from October 11, 2017 until March 5, 2018 - "Being modern: The MoMA in Paris ".

A unique partnership

This is an exciting 'one of a kind' event for the Louis Vuitton Foundation and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The two institutions decided to combine their knowledge to create an original exhibition that traces the history of MoMA and its collections and invites reflection on the choice of art and the very notion of modernity. Superbly enhanced by the architecture of Frank Gehry and bringing together over 200 works, the exhibition covers nearly one hundred years of acquisitions and traces the evolution of art as influenced by the events of the twentieth century.

A magical place

Of course, "Being Modern: The MoMA in Paris" is a unique opportunity to admire works that have not previously been shown in France such as Andy Warhol's Campbell Soup Cans.  It’s also a chance to discover or rediscover the astonishing setting of the Louis Vuitton Foundation with its amazing architecture. And, just a few steps away, you can sample the delights of the Jardin d'Acclimatation. Its rides will thrill the children and you'll enjoy tranquil woodland walks in the Bois de Boulogne. Our teams at the Compagnie de Bagatelle hotels will be happy to help you plan your outing and your visit to the exhibition.
Do not miss this unique showcase of modern art in Paris from October – a new event for the Louis Vuitton Foundation!
