The Biennale at the Grand Palais; all the forms of art through the years
Organised by the Syndicat National des Antiquaires, the Biennale is a showcase for the current art and antiques market. Furniture, paintings, jewellery, ethnic art, engravings, photographs and more; six millennia of artistic achievement and fine craftsmanship can be found beneath the majestic glass roof of the Grand Palais, the perfect showcase for this international event. Although the Biennale is geared towards professionals and collectors, neophytes, browsers and casual buyers are also made welcome and can enjoy the fabulous artefacts and collections on display.
What happens at the Biennale?
Each year, a country or region is honoured at the Biennale. In 2019 it’s the turn of the Kingdom of Bahrain to be in the spotlight. The Bahraini pavilion will host sublime exhibitions of arts and crafts, old and beautiful objects as well as contemporary creations. The Biennale is also hosting a gala dinner to support ALIPH, an association engaged in supporting the rehabilitation of the Mosul Museum in Iraq. Finally, if you’re worried about feeling a little lost among the exhibition pavilions, guided tours are provided to ensure you miss none of the fair.
