Our favourite parks and green spaces for an autumn walk

With its hotels of character located in the most interesting districts of the capital, the Compagnie Hôtelière de Bagatelle likes to help you discover a different way of experiencing Paris. Whether you’re staying in our hotels for a business trip, a family holiday or a romantic getaway, here are some of our best suggestions for an autumn walk...

A stroll in the iconic parks of Paris

The old standbys are often the best options! Have you ever dreamed of a romantic walk along gravel paths lined with statues while nibbling on roasted chestnuts? Head to the Jardin des Tuileries and its magnificent perspectives leading to the Louvre and its Pyramid on one side and to the Place de la Concorde on the other. Just as elegant and steeped in history is the Jardin du Palais Royal, which offers a romantic and timeless interlude. What’s more, both public gardens are just a few minutes from the Roch and the Chess.

Parks for everyone!

Enjoy one of the most famous views over Paris by strolling the paths and stairs of the Square Louise Michel, an exquisite green space in Montmartre dominated by the Sacré Cœur Basilica. Or perhaps you’d prefer somewhere less well-known? From your Les Plumes and Les Théâtres hotels, head for the Square Montholon. With its gates, tall trees and play areas for children, it’s typical of the kind of Parisian square where residents like to stroll and take the air.

Finally, don’t miss the opportunity to discover more recently established parks such as the Parc André-Citroën and the Parc Georges Brassens. The first has a solarium area and extensive lawns for enjoying the last of the year’s sunshine, as well as water mirrors and futuristic greenhouses that create a resolutely contemporary vibe. The second park, close to the Vice-Versa and Platine hotels, is a soothing place with its stream, pond, sloping hill and groves of magnificent trees.
