FIAC: The leading contemporary art rendezvous

FIAC: The leading contemporary art rendezvous

For more than 40 years, each autumn in Paris has provided the picturesque backdrop for the Foire Internationale d'Art Contemporain (International Fair of Contemporary Art). Now, more than ever, the FIAC symbolises the commitment and enthusiasm of the capital and the public for the current forms of artistic expression. Check it out while enjoying your stay in one of our hotels!

FIAC; galleries and artists from all over the world

Traditionally, the FIAC takes place in the vast and bright spaces of the Grand Palais. This year, 199 galleries from around the world will exhibit a selection of works by their flagship artists. However, the FIAC also invites selected artists to mount solo shows or exhibitions in partnership with other creators. These have proved to be very popular. The aisles of this leading art fair will be bustling with experts looking for the rising stars in the art world while rubbing shoulders with the general public who come to see the new trends.

Outside the walls; the FIAC throughout Paris

The FIAC's goal is to open the field of contemporary art to the widest possible audience. To do so, the fair surges beyond the walls of the Grand Palais and takes to the streets. For example, during the entire period of the fair from October 17th to 20th, the Avenue Winston Churchill will be pedestrianised and used as a venue. Similarly, the Jardin des Tuileries, Place Vendôme, the garden of the Delacroix Museum and the Place de la Concorde will serve as showcases for works designed to engage the attention of passers-by. These extramural open-air galleries are open to everyone.

Whether you’re a committed contemporary art enthusiast or simply want to become familiar with current creativity, don’t miss the FIAC during your stay in Paris!
